Danielle is a local BC artist. She grew up in Nelson, and with a handful of short stints in different mountain towns and cities in between, she has been happy to call Squamish home for the past few years. Throughout the winter, she can be found travelling abroad or to the Rockies in search of hiking and climbing opportunities.
However, the remainder of the year she works as a hiking guide throughout the Sea to Sky Corridor, and this love for the outdoors impacts her paintings greatly. Her motivation for guiding is the same as her motivation for creating art; to show people special places, hoping to make them see the beauty in the previously mundane, with the goal of preservation. She believes that making people care about our planet, and the ever present, wild beauty around us is a good step towards conservation.
