Elizabeth was born and educated in Toronto, Ontario. She has worked as a Speech Pathologist, mainly with children, in British Columbia, Ontario, Australia, Guatemala and Malawi (Africa). Since moving to Squamish, a whole new world of photography has opened to her.
In her passion for photography she has explored the uses of not only black and white, and sepia, but also the full range of colour, attempting fusion of form, shape and perspective. Having been fortunate to live in and visit many venues, she has been able to observe life from many vantage points. Implicit in these photographs is an invitation to explore public faces and private spaces, together or apart. Doors, windows, arches and interesting architecture beckon to the observer.
Elizabeth has had previous exhibitions in Ontario at Clarica Insurance Company and the KOR Gallery in Kitchener, at the Children’s Treatment Centre (KidsAbility) of Waterloo and at the Foyer Gallery in Squamish.
Communication is the core of her vocation as a speech pathologist. The medium of photography complements the processes of interaction and communication, in this case between the photographer and the viewer.
