Tamsin originally came to the corridor in 1973 to work at The Cheakamus Inn and returned to live full time in the Sea to Sky Corridor in 1980. Since immigrating from England - where she was passionately involved in her work in the theatrical business - she has learned many new skills according to whatever new venture arrived on her plate! This has included the food industry (working with her husband as owner operators of a muffin shop on Granville Island and deli in Whistler), the clothing industry (original owner operator of The Whistler Clothing Company) and education. Her four children (of whom she is inordinately fond and proud) were raised in Whistler, Pemberton and Squamish.
Tamsin believes in the power and importance of creativity. She is inspired by the glory and infinite variety in nature. Her loom allows her to be immersed in colour and texture. Mostly self-taught with kindly input from friendly local experts like Freda Hoff and Freda Cook, Tamsin is eager to attend more workshops to sharpen her technique, efficiency and to meet fellow enthusiasts.
